'Introduction to Cacao' Ceremony (Rochdale)

Cacao has been used by many cultures for centuries and the joy of cacao is now being discovered in the western world.  Would you like to experience the magic of ceremonial grade cacao, one of the world’s best kept secrets? Then come and enjoy this ceremony in this private and cosy attic space. We will drink 'Full Power' ceremonial grade cacao (as seen on Dragon's Den) from Venezuela which is known as 'Food of the Gods'.

Ceremonial grade cacao empowers you to step into your own truth, to show the world the person you have always been underneath all the programming, expectation and conditioning. It really supports you to rediscover yourself! Cacao also has powerful healing abilities; it is known to help remove anything not in alignment bringing you back into alignment with your highest self. This ceremoney will be facilitated by Maureen Leatherbarrow, a Reiki Master/Teacher, accredited Meditation Teacher, Crystal & Sound Therapist and ritual cacao drinker! And Louise O'Toole, qualified Pilates teacher and fellow Cacao lover!

BEFORE THE EVENT:

Don't eat for at least 4 hours before the event, this is important to allow easy absorption of the cacao and to allow expansion of your heart space and allow you to have a deeper experience. Avoid all other stimulants like caffeine, nicotine etc as well before the ceremony. Drink plenty of water, please make sure you are hydrated. Wear comfortable warm layers, wear/bring cosy socks/slippers and anything else you feel called to bring like crystals or a photograph etc. Anything you choose to bring is personal to you; this is a non judgemental space! You may also wish to bring a journal and pen to capture any experiences from the meditations as you journey with cacao. But above all, just come with an open mind and heart!  

AFTER THE EVENT:

 

We will ground the energy by having a healthy snack and a herbal tea together before you leave and head off home. It is important to drink plenty of water following the ceremony and continue to avoid stimulants. A cosy evening at home being kind to yourself is the best option after a cacao ceremony and have some grounding food. You'll leave with your senses awakened, feeling fully alive, inspired and filled with love🧡.

*PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY INFORMATION*

While cacao is safe to drink. You need to make us aware if any of the following applies:

❤ You are taking any prescribed medication, particularly anti-depressants (MAOI based antidepressants are contraindicated with the tyramine in chocolate and SSRI type antidepressants because of the MAOI’s in cacao). 

❤ Serious heart conditions (theobromine in cacao increases heart rate significantly and is a vasodilator, lowering blood pressure).

❤ Pregnancy and breast feeding (theobromine in cacao has a stimulating effect).

*It is strongly advised to consult with a Doctor if any of the above applies to you before consuming cacao*

*We will prepare our cacao with oat milk and pink himalayan salt and Agava Nectar to sweeten it. If for any reason you are not happy to consume any of these, please contact Maureen (07903931169) so we can look at alternatives for you. .....*
